Distance learning providers can enjoy greater confidence in the integrity of the online examination process with the use of joint services announced today between PupilCity, LLC, and Acxiom� Corporation (Nasdaq: ACXM), a global leader in interactive marketing services and identity management.

Students completing online work proctored by PupilCity will be able to verify, via Acxiom�s identity services, that they are the ones enrolled in the course. They log on to the PupilCity website, scan their surroundings with a webcam, then answer unique questions that authenticate their identity. Exam proctors, connected via monitors, can then observe students taking assessments.

The Acxiom-PupilCity partnership addresses new federal requirements that higher education institutions show evidence of how they verify identities of distance learners during the accreditation process.

The student identity verification is performed over the Internet with no intrusion into the learning process.
