CEPH Cephalon (MM)

• New York Times reported that Cephalon, Inc. (NASDAQ:CEPH) rejected Valeant Pharmaceuticals' (NYSE:VRX) unsolicited $5.7 billion takeover bid, citing the offer was too low and opportunistic

• Monsanto Company (NYSE:MON) reported a Q2 EPS of $1.88 beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.08 per share

• WD-40 Company (NASDAQ:WDFC) reported Q2 EPS of $0.53, lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.60 per share. Revenues for the quarter fell 2% year-over-year to $79.2 million, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $90.0 million

• Genpact Ltd (NYSE:G) has agreed to acquire global IT consulting firm Headstrong Corp for $550 million. The deal is expected to close in May, and Genpact expects the company to add to its earnings for the year

• According to reports, Citigroup (NYSE:C) is looking to expand its commodity investment-product team over the next two years to a third to tap growing demands of commodities as prices of copper, gold and cotton rise to record new highs

• Charter Equity downgraded Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:SWKS) from "Market Perform" to "Underperform" citing reduced revenue from the iPhone 5

• Oppenheimer & Co. upgraded Broadcom Corp.(NASDAQ:BRCM) from "Neutral" to "Buy" rating setting a target price of $55

• Netflix, Inc.(NASDAQ:NFLX) announced that it has reached an agreement with Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (NYSE:LGF)  on a multiyear deal which will include streaming the first four seasons of the AMC network TV series “Mad Men,” scheduled to start in July

• Shares of Bellwether Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) increased 4.94% to close at $18.07 after Chief Executive John Chambers said  the networking giant would take “bold steps” to narrow the company's focus. Analysts at Wall Street speculated that the tech giant may exit from its Flip digital camera business and other consumer-focused lines
