Well, the problem is we have no communication from mgt regarding the plan after approval. Are they applying to other RAs for approval? what is expected revenue based first approval and second approval and so on......

You cannot leave these crucial updates untouched and expect the MC increases. I think Mgt and BOD need a wake up calls.

We might as well not have gotten the drug approved!

It will go . Prob slower than we like . I prefer the solo approach that will take even longer.

Lots of the path forward will come down to daddy Fortress. If we are their golden child--there is no worry. They might decide to favor another and treat us like the redhead step child.

Will proj diff if Unloxcyt becomes the go to/SOC vs being 1 of the tricks in bag . Will proj diff if they go solo vs giving away revenue for dist pards etc. Will proj diff if they merge. ETC

Sellers at $3.50 are off playing the next hotcstock, basically playing musical chairs vs a sudden buyout or partnership announcement from Checkpoint.that could send this to $90 overnight.
I say $90 because that is what it would cost Gilead, Elizabeth Lily, Pfizer, Merck or whoever else to buy out Checkpoint's $48M shares for $4.4 billion. In order to get possession of Unloxcyt and its $500M to $1B per year patent protected annual revenues.
$4.4B was what Gilead paid to buy up all the 114M outstanding shares of Cymabay, at $32 per share, to gain possession of CBAY's one liver inflammation drug, Seladelpar that is projected to do $500M to $1B in annual sales revenue.

It's a waiting game with CKPT but $3.50 is insanely low.

After hours trading goes until 5 p.m. today according to the NYSE website. 
This stock's story is now one of being undervalued because of the FDA approved cancer drug asset.
It's just a question of how fast, or slowly it rises from here. I believe.
I'm liking the beginning of the stair step upward pattern, from $2.25 to $4.50 (doubled) , retraced 60 percent (of $2.25 move), to briefly touch $3.15 (another great entry point), and now appears to be climbing again toward a doubling of $3.15 to the next likely resistance level at/around $6.
Etc. etc etc...
As a bonus, Checkpoint has more positive news brewing from their pipeline, namely with cosibelimab, which could potentially propel the stock even further.

Yes I am. I'm in for a short term, say two months, price target of $15.

CKPT reminds me of EBS in several ways, including outstanding shares total.
 When EBS (the Narcan company) was in the $3s last spring, they made a bunch of in-house management structure moves to ensure a switch to profitability. The stock price rose significantly from there.
 The reason for the switch to near future likely profitability with Checkpoint is different, FDA approval of a cancer drug, but I'm expecting the impact on share price to mimic the EBS chart pattern of May, June, and July of this past year.

"dumped" is being disingenuous. Two insiders had to sell a small percentage of their shares to satisfy end of year tax requirements as they specified. And the ceo apparently put 900K shares in a trust for his minor children as a Christmas gift, which obviously ought to be viewed as a hugely bullish longterm value indicator.

I don't know where this going. But, I am very surprised that the CEO has not said anything with their plan about going forward. How much they will charge for this treatment? are they applying for approval to the other jurisdictions?
In US alone we have potential of 40K patients who are suitable for this treatment. Same number for Europe. But other regions i have no idea.

How can you make a prediction when the company is silent?

With today's action I think CKPT is a good candid for BO. Like every other Bios when they got approval followed by a hit and then start going up to get ready for BO.

Yep. That is usually done on Small Bios. Buy cheap. As i mentioned before it could be one of the HFs since our MC is so low.

I think I am more positive on this than the other poster. Everything takes time. I am just hoping the CEO had a plan for commercialization. As I said before this treatment is good for approx 40K people in US and I do not know how many in other countries. Looking forward hearing something from CEO.

First drug approved for a small bio that will get a very small portion of a potential billion dollar market. Has Checkpoint ever sold anything? What does their sales org look like? Manufacturing?
Pipeline is pretty sparse after this one as well. It's going to be a while before their next approval and this first one isn't going to make them profitable.
Huge win for Checkpoint, there are just a lot of things that need to get done, and the potential sales of this one drug will not get them too far. Of course, we've seen other bios just completely blast off simply on trial results, so I'm not 100% sure why the market is yawning on this one other than it's the end of the year and bios aren't 100% in favor currently.

Exactly. I think HFs trying to get in and accumulate as many shares possible. Remember our OS is very low and looks like they managed to control the cost at the same time working on other indications.
