BURLINGTON, Massachusetts,
December 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd. (NasdaqGS: CKSW) today
announced it has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of
Gartner's 2014 Magic Quadrant for Field Service Management. This is
the fourth consecutive year that ClickSoftware has been named a
Leader based on Gartner's criteria, which includes the ability to
execute and the completeness of its vision.
According to Gartner, Field Service Management (FSM) Magic
Quadrant, "Leaders have a robust scheduling engine that is scalable
to thousands of technicians, and they demonstrate a market-defining
vision of how technology can help service professionals achieve
business objectives. Leaders have the ability to execute against
that vision through products, services, and demonstrated, solid
business results in the form of revenue and
earnings." [1]
We believe our leadership in the FSM area complements the
company's second consecutive appearance in Gartner's Magic Quadrant
for Mobile Application Development Platforms (MADP)[2].
ClickSoftware feels that these unique placements by Gartner
increase market recognition of ClickSoftware as the leading
provider of optimized field service mobile workforce
management.
According to the report, Gartner states: "In a recent Gartner
FSM survey, 85% of respondents indicated that they either are
already using mobile field service apps or plan to use them within
24 months. Additionally, mobility was a top-three decision
criterion for more than 60% of respondents. These stats indicate
that mobility has become a critical requirement for FSM buyers and
an increasingly important focus area for vendors. While all FSM
vendors offer some form of mobile access (via laptops at a
minimum), the more advanced and progressive mobile solutions use
HTML5 and native container technologies to support a wide variety
of smartphones and tablets." [3]
"Service organizations must consistently deliver unparalleled
service experiences for their customers. This drives the
ClickSoftware team to help these organizations make strategic
service decisions to 'Master the Moment' when success is judged by
their ability to complete the job the first time," said Dr.
Moshe BenBassat, ClickSoftware's
Founder and CEO. "The future of the world's largest companies will
be determined by their ability to differentiate in service. In a
world where social media shines a spotlight on the performance of
every company, ClickSoftware empowers field workers to become a
service company's best brand ambassadors."
"Simultaneously, recognizing that even the most customer-centric
organization can only afford to invest in a finite number of field
staff, resource productivity optimization remains a challenge.
ClickSoftware's algorithms enable service organizations to
optimally utilize its resources' capacity; thereby pushing up the
service envelope," BenBassat added.
The last year brought the convergence of several of
ClickSoftware's strategic initiatives focused on driving optimized
service and mobile workforce management for every role, in every
size service organization. Over the last several years, the company
has repeatedly leveraged leading edge technology, its substantial
customer base, and its fluid cash position to expand its line of
products based on its patented "service chain optimization"
concept. Most recently in February
2014, its acquisition of Xora executed several key
components of its strategy:
- Extend the reach of ClickSoftware's solutions to small and
mid-size businesses
- Establish a new global channel for product distribution via
wireless carriers
- Streamline and optimize service in the interconnected world of
service contractors with its visionary Service Marketplace™
offering
In the past year, ClickSoftware has added 55 new enterprise and
15,000 new small and mid-size customers, increasing the distance
from its competition as the largest and most stable provider of
mobile workforce management solutions. Having more than 700,000
users utilizing its SaaS, public and private cloud, or on premise
deployment, also establishes the company's dominance in every
deployment method amongst such ISVs.
Gartner notes, "Cloud computing represents the glue for all
forces of the nexus. Nearly all the field service vendors have a
cloud-based option (with some offering true multitenancy). In the
past 12 months, however, we've seen several vendors that offer
multiple delivery options gaining more traction with their cloud
products, including prospects in the sales funnel. We expect this
trend to increase." [4]
"Our cloud strategy has focused on staying ahead of and making
the transition easy for our customers as they inevitably go to the
cloud," stated ClickSoftware's VP Products, Sassi Idan. "Our ability to leverage the
benefits of the cloud, our continued investment in mobile
innovations like wearables, collaboration, workflow,
gamification, and vertical solutions for our top industries, are
all targeted at generating faster and greater ROI for our
customers."
The tenure of ClickSoftware customers, many with more than 10
years of service optimization, offers further evidence of the
incremental value provided by ClickSoftware year after year.
ClickSoftware continues to gain traction in both the enterprise
and mid-market with its recent expansion of its integrated
offerings with Salesforce.com. Adding to its ClickWorkforce
solution, the company released the first of several native
Salesforce1 AppExchange apps, ShiftExpert. This is also the first
example of ClickSoftware's application of 'optimization as a
service' (OaaS) technology which brings enterprise grade
sophistication to the mid-market at an affordable price.
The breadth of ClickSoftware's solutions cover demand
forecasting, long-and-short term capacity planning, shift planning,
real-time scheduling and optimization, enterprise mobility, and
business analytics, giving customers measurable ROI and enabling
them to provide superior customer service. Intra-day on-going
schedule optimization is one example of a unique differentiator
that enables a ClickSoftware customer to become a real-time service
enterprise.
