Exchange operator CME Group Inc. on Thursday ended electronic trading of full-size futures contracts for the Dow Jones Industrial Average and Nasdaq-100 stock indexes.

The change, which went into effect for trade date March 12, was disclosed in a memo dated Feb. 23. CME didn't give a reason for its decision in the memo.

Trading in S&P 500 futures was unaffected.
