PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The Malibu Division of
Communications & Power Industries, Inc. (CPI), a subsidiary of
CPI International, Inc. (Nasdaq: CPII), has been awarded an initial
contract valued at more than $3
million by Aerlyper, a Spanish aeronautical company
specializing in avionics and electronics and a subcontractor to
SAES, a Spanish company that provides electronic and underwater
detection systems. Under the contract, CPI Malibu will
design, manufacture and integrate highly advanced data link antenna
systems enabling ship-to-ship, ship-to-air and ship-to-satellite
communications for defense applications. The initial contract
duration is expected to last through 2014.
