Shilpa Ranganathan Joins Expedia Group as Chief Product Officer

Expedia Group (NASDAQ: EXPE) announced the appointment of Shilpa
Ranganathan as the company’s Chief Product Officer, marking her
return to Expedia Group to lead the product and design teams.

Shilpa brings over 25 years of expertise in building
customer-centric products and experiences at some of the most
forward-thinking companies. Most recently, she was Corporate Vice
President at Microsoft, leading the Windows end-user, developer,
and marketplace teams. In this role, she was responsible for
driving Microsoft’s consumer business on Windows and re-imagining
Windows product experiences with AI & Copilot. During her 16+
years with the company, she held various roles that focused on
driving compelling productivity experiences on iOS/Android,
developing productivity solutions like Microsoft OneNote and
Microsoft To Do, seamlessly integrating Microsoft services on
mobile ecosystems, as well as managing commercial applications and
services. Before joining Microsoft, Shilpa spent three years at
Expedia, on the product team responsible for Expedia.com,
Expedia.ca, and private label product teams.
Shilpa will join the Travel Leadership Team in January based in
Seattle and report directly to Ariane Gorin, CEO of Expedia
Group.
