Among the companies with shares expected to actively trade in
Tuesday's session are Ziopharm Oncology Inc. (ZIOP), Gordmans
Stores Inc. (GMAN) and Calumet Specialty Products Partners L.P.
(CLMT).
Ziopharm Oncology Inc. (ZIOP) ended development of its cancer
drug palifosamide after the drug failed to stop the progression of
the disease in a late-stage trial. Shares tumbled 63% to $1.89 in
premarket trade.
Gordmans Stores Inc. (GMAN) fiscal four-quarter earnings fell
22% as the discount retailer struggled with particular weakness in
seasonal offerings and scant selection for some other merchandise.
Shares dropped 8.6% to $13 in premarket trade.
Calumet Specialty Products Partners L.P. (CLMT) has launched an
offering of 5.25 million units, saying it will use the proceeds for
general purposes and possibly to pay down debt. The oil refiner,
which sells waxes and lubricating oils, recently had around 63.3
million units outstanding. Units fell 5.1%, to $37.12 in premarket
trading.
Watchlist
Alliance Fiber Optic Products Inc. (AFOP) lifted its sales
guidance for the first quarter, citing stronger-than-expected
demand across several lines and market segments.
Bayer AG (BAYN.XE, BAYRY) and Onyx Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ONXX)
said its Stivarga drug has been approved in Japan to treat patients
with metastatic colorectal cancer.
Coastal Contacts Inc. (COA, COA.T) intends to offer an
undisclosed number of shares as the retailer of eyeglasses and
contact lenses raises funds to acquire more customers in growth
markets.
Focus Media Holding Ltd.'s (FMCN) fourth-quarter earnings more
than doubled as the Chinese digital-advertising company benefited
from fewer charges, though revenue edged lower.
Sonic Corp.'s (SONC) fiscal second-quarter earnings soared,
helped by an across-the-board drop in expenses like food and
packaging costs.
OCZ Technology Group Inc. (OCZ) has appointed Rafael Torres as
its new chief financial officer, replacing the retiring Arthur
Knapp.
