ADRs End Mixed; Gold Companies Trade Actively

International stocks trading in New York closed mixed on
Tuesday. Gold miners were among the companies with ADRs that traded
actively.
The BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 0.2%
to 134.32. The European index increased 0.5% to 126.98. The Asian
index, meanwhile, fell 0.3% to 150.84, the Latin American index
dropped 0.5% to 228.63, and the emerging markets index declined
0.6% to 274.72.
ADRs of Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd. (HMY, HAR.JO) ended 5.3%
higher at $2.78, ADRs of Randgold Resources Ltd. (GOLD, RRS.LN)
increased 4.1% to $93.82, ADRs of Sibanye Gold Ltd. (SBGL, SGL.JO)
jumped 3.7% to $9.91 and ADRs of AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (AU,
ANG.JO) rose 3.1% to $12.51 on the appreciation of gold as fears
over U.S. military action in North Korea made investors more averse
to risk.
