Edit: Doesn't look good for the commoners; 12 month chart shows a clear win for the smart shorts (not me).

Can't figure out the exact terms of the reorganization; commoners (retail shareholders) will get only 1 % of new equity .... is that it ? Or, is "new equity" added to the de-valued remains of LONE ?
If commoners only get 1% of New Lone E&P (after reorganization ), wouldn't shares be crashing down to ~ .10 or .15 ?

Lonestar Resources registered a 61% increase in net oil and gas production to 5,804 BOEPD in 2Q15, vs. 3,613 BOEPD in 2Q14, 83% of which was crude oil and NGL's. I like the way you think Saga

It doesn't have to double to make me happy but I think this company is really undervalued even at the current oil price given the last quarter guidance they gave, but who knows I have been wrong before

Just be patient, this stock is some of the best oil wells in Texas next to APACHE oil wells. As soon as M&A happens in this sector this stock skyrockets. As soon as oil rebounds, even to 60 a barrel, we double from here.

It is certainly cheaply priced at the moment. But there are other companies also undervalued. When income production is important, oil and gas trusts and MLPs loom larger than life.

I'm invested in Lonestar and also other hydrocarbon plays which serve me as income produers. While I considered adding to LNREF, I gave way to NTI and CVRR, both of which were greatly underpriced while paying a yield in excess of 9%.

You're right, of course. It is odd, though, isn't it? I'm remembering when Canadian O & G companies out of Canada were paying me huge percentages quarterly with one exception paying monthly. This was before Leahy changed the tax code resulting in enormous losses for his country because the new laws disallowed US participation unless certain conditions were met. The end result was that the energy trusts ceased to exist as such and either moved to the US or moved out of trust status and into corporate entities.

At that time, 30% hedgings were commonplace and we unit-holders hated heavier hedging as we preferred the freedom that a tumultuous market provided in terms of opportunity to take advantage of rising royalties due to escalating commodity prices.

Nowadays, things are quite different. Today I'd say LNREF's hedging situation is one to be admired.

Smart money (ours) can recognize superior results in the oilfield where it matters most. Inexperienced money sees the "F" attached to the ticker and is unable to trust circumstances.

Thus, volume cannot rise to levels that should represent value in this pick. While volume alone hardly addresses total value here, we investors are also engaged in speculative matters. Without greater volume, we may find ourselves dependent upon unfortunate global events to force that desired spike in share price.
