LOS ANGELES, Nov. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- People are doing
more than just shopping this Cyber Monday -- they are also online
planning a record number of holiday parties. Evite,
(www.evite.com), the leading digital service for bringing people
together, today announced the Top 10 holiday party themes for 2015,
as well as the most popular dates to plan and throw a holiday
party, based on an analysis of the company's proprietary data.
Evite's Top 10 Party Themes for 2015
Excluding
general holiday-themed parties, the Top 10 themed parties planned
for the 2015 holiday season so far include (in order of
popularity): Cookie Exchange, Ornament Exchange, Ugly Sweater
Party, Open House, Cookie Baking/Decorating Party, White Elephant
Party, Oktoberfest, Friendsgiving,
Gingerbread Party and Toy Drive. Evite features popular
invitation designs for each of these event themes.
Most Popular Days to Plan/Throw a Holiday
Party
Evite also analyzed data from last year's
holiday season from October 1 –
December 31, 2014 to determine the
most popular days to plan and throw a holiday party. Overall, the
most holiday parties were planned (invitations sent) on the Monday
and Tuesday after Thanksgiving,
December 1 and 2, 2014, during which
17,159 and 17,249 holiday event invitations were sent each day,
respectively. In 2015, those prime planning days are expected to be
Monday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
The most holiday parties occurred on December 13 and December
20, 2014, the last two Saturdays before Christmas, in which
51,425 and 50,317 holiday parties were held, respectively. Looking
ahead, the data suggests keeping the calendar open on Saturday, December 12 and Saturday, December 19, 2015, which are expected
to be the largest party days of the year.
No New Year's Eve Plans? No
Problem!
When it comes to celebrating the New Year, the
data shows that these parties are often planned at the last minute.
In 2014, the highest number of invitations for New Year's Eve parties were sent on December 27, just a few days before the big
night.
