McDATA Corporation (Nasdaq:MCDTA)(Nasdaq:MCDT), a leading provider
of data access solutions, today announced it now offers a
comprehensive service to new and existing customers to upgrade,
install and configure the latest release of Enterprise Fabric
Configuration Manger (EFCM) 9.0. This service is provided at a
fixed price, fixed scope engagement for an entire installation
(upgrade) eliminating all hidden costs that may be associated with

heterogeneous SAN management. This new service offering is for
customers looking to implement EFCM 9.0 or upgrade to EFCM 9.0 from
an earlier version to ensure a smooth transition and an optimized
implementation. Customers currently using SANavigator or
SANvergence can also use this service to upgrade to EFCM 9.0. When
customers request these services, they will also receive a limited
scope SAN Workshop where McDATA will discuss key findings with the
customer, highlighting areas for improvement and optimization
across their entire storage networking environment. Customers, new
and existing, who want to take advantage of this new software can
utilize our service and know that the implementation will be
performed to our high standards. EFCM will be optimized for their
specific environment and they will receive the training needed to
maximize their usage of EFCM 9.0 going forward, said Costa
Hasapopoulos, VP, Solutions and Services for McDATA. Data access
is a top priority for any IT manager and our new services, in
conjunction with EFCM 9.0, will help make the management of this
data access easier. In addition to the SAN Workshop, each
installation includes performance tuning to optimize the use of
EFCM 9.0. McDATA will set up users, groups, provide access control,
migrate configuration files from previous versions of EFCM,
SANvergence or SANavigator. As an added benefit, an evaluation copy
and on-site training by McDATAs Consulting Team for the EFCM

real-time and historical performance monitoring, automated event
management, centralized security management, group configuration
support and more. About McDATA (www.mcdata.com) McDATA
