Greedy...now, why would you do that? So your strike price is 190 on a call? option That means that NVDA will need to spike from 136 to 190 over the next 10 days for you to just break even? What am I misreading with that?

Some of these folks are really good at what they do, i.e. computers, finance etc. Articulating strategies and knowing what to say, and sometimes more importantly, what not to say, is not their forte.

On occasion, the speaking role is better left to a professional. The problem is, it's difficult to find someone with the knowledge and background in computers, chips, AI etc., who can stand up and answer questions or make a presentation, in a cohesive and articulate manner, without fumbling an issue and tanking the stock.

Thank you for the response,, I'll look into it. I just posted it because it showed up on the front page of the Yahoo quote page with the other articles. I find it unnerving The CFO would state what she did in the Q conference and he followed up on it.

If you look at his most recent track record that has been analyzed completely (for the year, 2018), His track record is atrocious.

Investors would’ve done much better to stay in cash then to get the -7.18% return of his recommendations.

Included Was a bearish outlook for fang, which says very little for his ability to predict performance of leading edge, tech stocks.

Given the nature of his recommendations, it takes several years before they can be evaluated. The number of employees that Morgan Creek management is less than the reduced GP that Nvidia has forecast.

Investors would’ve done much better to just convert everything to cash rather than follow any of his recommendations.

If This is the worst you can find, I suspect that for a few more years to come, maybe even longer, NVDA is quite safe.

You can verify all of the above and more by putting in a simple request with copilot. Try it. You might even like it.

Then maybe you shouldn't have posted your first unwarranted response. I'm excellent in giving tit for tat.

Then you didn't look at the link and you don't seem to understand the meaning of an analyst stating "recommending selling shares". That sounds like a sell rating to me.

This is the latest and right on the front page under Nvidia stock quote. Was easy to find. This is the latest analyst. So if another bad rating comes out you can ignore that one too. Well I think the sliding price of the stock and 3 quarters of continuing loss in GP has something to say.

I think you need to do more research as to why the stock is diving in a strong upward market, why the short sell volume is growing from an average of 44% to 57%, and why Nvidia has had some of the greatest percentage losses in strong up markets. I'll post some of the things you miss. I wouldn't want you to strain your mental faculties looking for obvious articles.

Great. That's one. There's 34 others listed on Yahoo Finance that have it as a buy, strong buy, outperform, overweight or at least - accumulate.

You really had to work to find that one guy, eh? LOL.

BTW, I just visited YAHOO Finance and looked at all the Analyst ratings for NVDA. I don't see any downgrades to a sell under "recent" downgrades/upgrades.

Nvidia shows AI model that can modify voices, generate novel sounds

Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) on Monday showed a new artificial intelligence model for generating music and audio that can modify voices and generate novel sounds - technology aimed at the producers of music, films and video games.

Nvidia, the world's biggest supplier of chips and software used to create AI systems, said it does not have immediate plans to publicly release the technology, which it calls Fugatto, short for Foundational Generative Audio Transformer Opus 1.

It joins other technologies shown by startups such as Runway and larger players such as Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) that can generate audio or video from a text prompt.

Santa Clara, California-based Nvidia's version generates sound effects and music from a text description, including novel sounds such as making a trumpet bark like a dog.

What makes it different from other AI technologies is its ability to take in and modify existing audio, for example by taking a line played on a piano and transforming it into a line sung by a human voice, or by taking a spoken word recording and changing the accent used and the mood expressed.

"If we think about synthetic audio over the past 50 years, music sounds different now because of computers, because of synthesizers," said Bryan Catanzaro, vice president of applied deep learning research at Nvidia. "I think that generative AI is going to bring new capabilities to music, to video games and to ordinary folks that want to create things."

While companies such as OpenAI are negotiating with Hollywood studios over whether and how the AI could be used in the entertainment industry, the relationship between tech and Hollywood has become tense, particularly after Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson accused OpenAI of imitating her voice.

Nvidia's new model was trained on open-source data, and the company said it is still debating whether and how to release it publicly.

"Any generative technology always carries some risks, because people might use that to generate things that we would prefer they don't," Catanzaro said. "We need to be careful about that, which is why we don't have immediate plans to release this."

Creators of generative AI models have yet to determine how to prevent abuse of the technology such as a user generating misinformation or infringing on copyrights by generating copyrighted characters.

OpenAI and Meta similarly have not said when they plan to release to the public their models that generate audio or video.

there is no replacement for CUDA-Q form IONQ

Jj looks like nvda cuda-Q software has been trumped by Ionq’s software suite? Big online presentation of their full stack on Dec 3. Is Jensen losing his step?

Jensen's fireside or conference talks aren't going to do much for bringing the stock up. His GP has been on a steady decline over the last 3 quarters and the CFO agreed that a GP of 70% is low for them (which was not the brightest thing to say considering the quarterly percentage profit decline). AMD has a part coming out which is better than the B100. Since they can't meet demand, with the Blackwell.

Wish that were true but seems like lately when Dow is up, Nvidia drops 1-4 points. Still a lot of short volume trades. This seems to be one of the stocks traders like to short.

Up $.05 in preMkt. Here comes the slow climb to $190s/$210s.

Motley Fool on the 22nd published older comment from one of the institutions regarding shipment of the GB200 in Nvidia's quarter ending Jan and quarter ending April . They stated 300K shipment at around $83k ea and the quarter ending in April shipments of 800k. Seeing is believing. If that does happen, it's quite a large dollar volume.

$NVDA - The Close below the 20 day MA on Friday favors bearish follow through to the lower BB(133.80). Since seasonality is bullish next week, if NVDA eventually hits the lower BB, it's unlikely to occur next week, so it would probably happen in the 1st week of December.

I for one enjoy his videos he does have a timeframe that is way out there 

Looks like I forgot to post the video here. He has been very positive on NVDA for a long time.

It is just his opinion don't have a cow are your shorts too tight 

The notion that if one's time horizon is 5 years, picking one stock to be an excellent opportunity is questionable..

How does Phil Panaro know what he is predicting his pick of the scenario to be the right choice?

Does he know what the stock is going to do in the next 30 days, much less the 5 years?

Does he know what the economy is going to be in 5 years?

Does he know if there will be war or a recession, and what may intervene in the meantime?

Does he know what will be the likely challenges then or the state of the AI business after 5 years?

In these fast changing times we live in... all that is a speculation on hope, pure and simple.

I believe Oleblue reference to $800 by 2030 comes from Phil Panaro. Phil has a thesis on this which is actually quite good if you ask me which nobody does, search him out on YouTube 

That chart is not looking too good to me.

The decline of the volume is not a good sign.

Could it be temporary?

We hope so.

Talk about 2030 is something else.

To me it sounds a bit like a lullaby.

msft is using platform as a service, as in cpaas, internally as corp/business. their msft teams has connect 8x8 which allows low code connections with 8x8 apis to partner 3rd parties, whicch might allow the work of nvidia presenter cognizant to do their thing which seems to be microservices in the workflow to enable a multi agent workflow operation/architecture. they would likely need quantum computing or it 's simulation on classical computers to determine the probabilities for the next sequence/step/microservice to use? in this way the processing of the data helps determine the next step in sequence by it's ai?
or, my wags.

quantum and quantum sim is a part of the microservices of multiple agents in the workflow....how to determine/decide where the work goes next? the ai and the probabilities as determined from the quantum/q sim ai? the ability to have this communications needs to be at different areas in this progressive cloud application?
but it's a non techie way of thinking about it. thoughts?
