Novadigm Settles Patent Dispute With Beck Systems MAHWAH, N.J., Dec. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Novadigm, Inc. , a leading provider of adaptive software change and configuration management solutions, today announced that it has settled its patent dispute with Beck Systems, Inc. Both parties have agreed to dismiss with prejudice their claims in the patent infringement lawsuit brought by Beck Systems against Novadigm. Under the settlement agreement, Novadigm will pay Beck Systems $2,654,600 in three installments of $954,600, $900,000 and $800,000 in the third quarter of fiscal years 2004, 2005 and 2006, respectively. Novadigm expects to recognize an expense for the full amount of the settlement in the quarter ending December 31, 2003. Albion Fitzgerald, Novadigm chief executive officer, said, "In assessing the settlement, we weighed the cost and distraction of continuing to litigate, as well as the risks inherent in any significant litigation, against the cost of resolving the matter today.
