The Orchard, a full service media company specializing in the
distribution of music and video entertainment, announced today that
it has entered into a partnership with TrustNordisk, the largest
film sales company of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland,
and the Faroe Islands. The Orchard will handle the marketing and
worldwide digital distribution of TrustNordisk’s esteemed film
catalogue, including Cannes Palme d’Or Winner Dancer in the Dark,
Grand Prix winner Breaking the Waves, 2006 Silver Bear winner
Feste, and Oscar nominee After the Wedding.
“As we conquer more genres with each distribution deal, we
realize our technology is unmatched in delivering film and
television content in volume and high quality to key digital
retailers,” commented Brad Navin, Interim Chief Executive Office
for The Orchard. “We’re looking forward to bringing TrustNordisk’s
films to our retail partners, and we believe that by making these
films available in North America and overseas, consumers and
distributors alike will understand the power of our marketing and
distribution,” he added.
Following recent partnerships with famous comedy brand National
Lampoon, action sports mogul VAS Entertainment, and independent
film companies IndiePix and Dogwoof Films, the partnership with
TrustNordisk marks the latest growth in The Orchard’s diverse video
catalogue.
“The Orchard is absolutely the best choice for us,” remarked
Rikke Ennis, CEO of TrustNordisk. “We’re confident that they have
the technology and talent in place to deliver and promote our films
to key outlets in the appropriate regions.”
