appointments heighten senior management leadership over each of the
company's priority growth channels, retail stores and grocery. As
vice president, retail operations reporting to Patrick O'Dea,
president and CEO, Bogeajis has responsibility for operations of
the company's 160 Peet's stores as well as future growth of the
retail store business. Bogeajis is a veteran of growth-oriented
food retail environments with more than 30 years of experience in
high-profile retail operations. Most recently she served as vice
president western operations for Taco Bell Corporation, a Yum Brand
company, where she was responsible for more than 1,400 stores and
approximately $1.4 billion in system-wide sales. Previously she
held prominent retail operations and sales positions with
Frito-Lay, Inc., a PepsiCo company, and Burger King Corporation.
Bogeajis holds a bachelor of science degree from San Diego State
University. "Kay is an elite retail operations executive," said
O'Dea. "The combination of her extensive, large-scale retail
operations experience and her passion for Peet's make her the
perfect leader for our retail stores as we expand. Lansing joined
Peet's as chief marketing officer in 2005, responsible for all
brand and multi-channel marketing company-wide. With the additional
responsibility as general manager of the consumer business (grocery
and direct channels), Lansing will lead the strategic planning and
implementation of Peet's grocery expansion. She recently led the
successful introduction of Peet's into New England and, based on
this success, the company has aggressive grocery expansion plans
through its direct store delivery (DSD) network. "We have
tremendous growth opportunities in the expansion of our grocery
business and in leveraging our one-of-a-kind DSD network," said
O'Dea. "Chris's extensive consumer packaged goods marketing
experience at bellwether companies like Procter & Gamble and
The Hershey Company, along with her track record of results since
she joined Peet's, make her the natural choice to lead us to the
next level here." ABOUT PEET'S COFFEE & TEA, INC. Peet's Coffee
