PTMK Pathmark Stores (MM)

Pathmark Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: PTMK), today announced that Kevin R. Darrington has joined the Company as a Senior Vice President in the financial area. Mr. Darrington joins Pathmark from Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy in Boulder, Colorado, where he was Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Pharmaca, Mr. Darrington held several financial positions at Foot Locker, Inc., including Vice President, Corporate Controller from 2002 to 2005 and Retail Controller from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Darrington is a Certified Public Accountant. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Temple University. Mr. Darrington will work with Joseph W. Adelhardt, Pathmark's Senior Vice President, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer until Mr. Adelhardt's retirement in July at which point Mr. Darrington will assume the responsibilities of the position.
