Red Hat (NASDAQ:RHAT), the world's leading provider of open source
solutions to the enterprise, today announced the hiring of Nicholas
Van Wyk in the newly created role, Vice President of Operations.
Van Wyk will drive the optimization of Red Hat's subscription model
and work to create business process to better support the channel.
Van Wyk comes to Red Hat from EMC, where he was responsible for
integrating Legato's channel operations into EMC's channel software
strategy as Vice President of Worldwide Channel Operations,
Combined Software Division. Prior to the acquisition of Legato by
EMC, Van Wyk served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales Operations
at Legato. Van Wyk will report to Joanne Rohde, Executive Vice
