I still don't understand exactly why Riot wants to buy Bitfams in the first place.

...unless it is to make money on the Bitfarm stock itself. And if they dump their shares then the BITF share price is going to suffer. If you should see the volume of BITF PUT options increase suddenly, then watch out below. In fact, maybe I should buy some PUTS. Since the situation seems to be stalled at 15% ownership then the next logical step might be for Riot to dump their Bitfarm shares.

Furthermore, It is not like Riot needs anything that Bitfarms owns. RIOT has a mining site under construction called Corsicana which, when completed, will have One Giga Watt of power and will be the largest mining site in the world. It seems to me that this is where they should be spending their time and money.

All just my opinion...

Once Bitfarms turned them down and RIOT continued their stock purchases, that was, imo, the beginning of the hostile takeover attempt.

While we may have differing definitions of when it may or may not have started, but think we both see it going in a similar direction.

Long term holder looking to sell covered calls when the price is right now it’s time to add on these dips
We have to take the shorts to the cleaners not the other way around. I add on dips like today.
Stick it to that Kerrisdale that took a large short position .

Slightly updated trajectories in my opinion reveal that essentially we end up in the same spot over the intermediate term, but the short term varies, the longer term is obvious we are heading down and won't pierce above 73k, if we do 77-80k temporarily only IMO!

The price won’t skyrocket, because Bitcoin isn’t worth anything once is it’s not decentralized. Decemtralized currency was the entire point of Bitcoin in the first place lol. I think it’s gonna be pretty funny when that fact finally comes home to roost

So true ! In the end though will it be far too expensive to mine any Bitcoin ? Only the float will be available, hence the price should sky rocket. Minimal supply and those holding will need to sell carefully in small amounts or crash the price. But then they do that anyway to manipulate the other markets don't they. Little guy always gets the dirty end of the stick.

Miners MUST upgrade or die, since the halving. Actually funny that it was predicted many years ago, that decentralization wouldn’t last, and in the end a few behemoths will be the only ones able to mine profitably, and therefore, the Bitcoin network would be owned by them instead

The numbers tell it all. Riot went backwards it seems in the last year betting the farm on future mining efficiency. Having to replace not so good miners doesn't help but SP can recover over the year if there projection come true. All depends on BTC price too.

ALWAYS sucks when we have weekend runups and realize none of that BTC gain bc BTC starts to drop immediately after 8 on Monday mornings. So, RIOT at a certain amount on Friday afternoon, with btc at 60, then Monday mornin with BTC up 3-4K, but starting to go down, we get nothing or RED.

I sure hope so. I'm not holding this time. Made it to almost 100% and back to even. This one, as compared to Mara and Bito is used for hedge spending money, so doesn't matter how well they do or BTC.

Sure looks like it is churned to keep the price down. This might be insiders and promoters loading up on options so the price needs to be stable for a while. Once loaded up, the gate opens. Then the wait for BTC to rock and roll.
