RSA Security's largest-ever investment in the channel pays off with hundreds of new partners, record training success BEDFORD, Mass., May 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- One year after re-launching its RSA SecurWorld(TM) Channel Program, RSA Security (NASDAQ:RSAS) today announced that more than 1,200 channel partners around the world have signed-up in the last 12 months, and that its partners are better-trained, better-motivated and better-equipped than ever before to meet the growing market demand for identity protection and enablement solutions. In addition, RSA Security revealed that its move to invest in building channel partners' expertise has resulted in the completion of an unprecedented number of sales and technical training courses -- more than 14,000 globally -- by RSA SecurWorld partners since the program re-launch. This compares with a total of 750 course-completions in the same period leading up to last May. As part of the program's improvements, the Company transferred its online sales curriculum onto the RSA SecurWorld Partner Portal, both to improve access to -- and the usability of -- the training tools. One of the major successes of the program is the Deal Registration initiative, allowing channel partners to register certain potential opportunities as soon as they are identified -- thus increasing the likelihood of being rewarded for closing the deal. More than 3,500 deals have been registered by RSA SecurWorld partners to date. The company recently announced enhancements to the program that aim to reward the efforts of individual partner sales executives, as well as increasing rebate provisions and improving the deal registration program.
