Satcon Selected for Largest Solar Energy Rooftop Installation in the Southeast United States

Satcon (NASDAQ CM: SATC), a leading provider of utility scale
distributed power solutions for the renewable energy market,
announced today that it has installed four 250 kilowatt (kW)
PowerGate� Plus inverters at the Orange County Convention Center
(OCCC), the largest solar rooftop installation in the southeast of
the United States. The Orange County Convention Center 1.1 megawatt
rooftop monocrystalline PV system occupies 200,000 square feet and
was designed and built by Johnson Controls Inc, a global
multi-industrial leader in energy efficiency, sustainability and
renewable energy.
The four 250 kW Satcon PowerGate� Plus inverters are expected to
deliver over 1.1 million kilowatt hours in the first year of
operation, enough energy to power over 100 homes. The project is
expected to significantly reduce the convention center�s total
energy costs and carbon emissions. An education center inside the
convention center will display the system data, performance and
solar energy information to the millions of visitors of this world
class venue.
