BEIJING, May 15 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Sino-Global Shipping America, Ltd. (NASDAQ:SINO) ("Sino-Global" or the "Company"), a leading, non-state-owned provider of shipping agency services operating primarily in China, today announced that it will hold its 2009 annual meeting of stockholders (the "meeting") on May 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. U.S. Eastern Time. The meeting will be held at the New York Marriott Marquis, 1535 Broadway, New York, NY 10036. A proxy statement and copy of the Company's annual report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2008 have been distributed to Sino-Global shareholders of record on May 6, 2009 and filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Matters to be discussed at the meeting include: 1. The election of two Class II members of the board of directors, each to serve a term expiring at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders in 2012 or until his successor is duly elected and qualified; 2. The ratification of the appointment of Friedman LLP as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009; and 3.
