(NASDAQ: SYMM), a worldwide leader in precision time and frequency technologies, announced Douglas Halbert as the company’s new executive vice president, operations, effective immediately. Mr. Halbert has responsibility for driving the operations effort for Symmetricom’s renowned timing technology products and services.

Mr. Halbert is a seasoned executive leader in both building and managing all aspects of the operations functions, achieving high-levels of customer service and quality. Bringing more than 30 years of operations management experience, including Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies, he was most recently Chief Operating Officer at Wagic, Inc. a consumer products and design consulting company. He was also Senior Vice President of Operations at Brilliant Telecommunications, and Executive Vice President of Global Operations and IT at Acterna. Mr. Halbert received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Trinity College.
