Symmetricom is pleased to present the following paper as part of
the Atomic Clocks & Timing Applications I Session,
Wednesday, June 13:
Who:
Dr. Robert Lutwak, Chief Scientist,
Symmetricom
What:
The SA.45s Chip Scale Atomic Clock (CSAC)
When:
Wednesday, June 13, 10:30 am, Session B3
Topic: This
paper will review the architecture of the Quantum™ Chip Scale
Atomic Clock (CSAC) and report production statistics of performance
including power consumption, short-term stability, and temperature
sensitivity.
Symmetricom is pleased to present the following paper as part of
the Atomic Clocks & Timing Applications I Session,
Wednesday, June 13:
Who:
Edward Byrne, Engineering Manager,
Symmetricom
What:
Clock Steering Using Frequency Estimates from Stand Alone
GPS
When:
Wednesday, June 13, 10:55 am, Session B3
Topic: This
paper investigates the use of frequency estimates from a
stand-alone GPS receiver's carrier phase observations to discipline
the output oscillator over intermediate time intervals, bridging
the gap between good quartz crystal oscillator performance at short
time intervals and good GPS time difference estimate performance at
long time intervals.
In addition to presenting, Symmetricom will feature the Quantum™
SA.45s Chip Scale Atomic Clock (CSAC) and showcase their
comprehensive line of timing and frequency solutions in booth
#62.

About 2012 Joint Navigation Conference
The Joint Services Data Exchange (JSDE) and The Institute of
Navigation (ION) will co-sponsor the Joint Navigation Conference
(JNC) 2012. The conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza
Hotel in Colorado Springs,
Colorado. Classified sessions will be held at the
U.S. Air Force Academy.
JNC 2012 will be the largest U.S. military navigation conference
of the year with joint service and government participation. The
event will focus on technical advances in positioning, navigation
and timing (PNT) with emphasis on joint development, test and
support of affordable PNT systems, logistics, and integration. From
an operational perspective, the conference will also focus on
advances in battlefield applications of GPS, critical strengths or
weaknesses of fielded navigation devices, warfighter PNT
requirements & solutions, and navigation warfare.
