US Airways Adds New GoFares, More Flights in Philadelphia
ARLINGTON, Va., July 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways today
continues its campaign to bring low fares and convenient air
service to Philadelphia, with the introduction of new GoFares(R) to
both Pensacola and Tallahassee, Fla., as well as 18 new flights to
popular destinations. US Airways' Philadelphia-Tallahassee GoFares
start as low as $89* each way in Coach Class, with last-minute
fares as low as $192* each way. Philadelphia-Pensacola GoFares
begin at $109* each way, with last-minute fares available as low as
$217* each way. The lowest fares require a 14-day advance purchase.
All fares are available immediately. "The good news is that we are
adding more GoFares. The better news is that our customers like
them," said B. Ben Baldanza, US Airways senior vice president of
marketing and planning. "With over 50 percent of the local
Philadelphia travelers we carry going to our 15 existing GoFares
markets, these low, simple fares have been a great success." US
Airways has also added 18 new flights to its October schedule,
increasing the daily departures between Philadelphia and 12 cities

first phase of its GoFares in Philadelphia on April 29, 2004, and
GoFares are now available on 17 routes, including Pensacola and

to low fares, customers flying US Airways enjoy: advance seat
assignments; pre-boarding for Preferred Dividend Miles members; a
First Class cabin with the ability to upgrade from Coach Class;
In-flight Cafe on select flights; and the ability to earn frequent
flier miles for travel to and from more than 750 worldwide
destinations through US Airways' participation in the Star
Alliance. *US Airways' GoFares are simple, however, in addition to
the fare, the federal government requires that the company collect
a tax of $3.10 every time a customer takes off on one of US
Airways' planes, plus $2.50 per segment, up to $10 per trip (the
September 11th Security Fee). Some of the airports that customers
might visit also charge up to $4.50 for passing through, but the
total is capped at $18 per trip. The lowest fares are one-way, and
are nonrefundable. Last minute fares are also available one-way.
