Toyota Honors Visteon's Quality for Third Consecutive Year KERPEN, Germany, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Visteon Corporation received two prestigious quality awards at the Toyota Motor Europe Manufacturing supplier awards ceremonies held in Brussels, Belgium. (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20001201/DEF008LOGO ) Toyota Motor Europe Manufacturing honored Visteon with the "Achievement Award" for quality delivery of the passive anti-theft system amplifier transponder. Toyota also recognized Visteon for providing quality interior trim. The Visteon Electronics plant in Cadiz, Spain produces the amplifier transponder for the Toyota Yaris and Corolla. This is the third consecutive year that Visteon's facility in Cadiz has been recognized for its quality. Last year, Visteon received the "Superior Performance" award for outstanding quality for the passive anti-theft system amplifier for the Yaris. Dr. Heinz Pfannschmidt, Visteon's president for Europe and South America, received the awards that were presented by Dr. Shuhei Toyoda, president & CEO of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing Europe, during the Toyota Annual Supplier Award ceremony. "Maintaining consistency in quality and supply is crucial and these awards reflect Visteon's continuing commitment to our customers," said Dr. Pfannschmidt. "The Visteon Cadiz team has done an excellent job by securing these prestigious awards for the third year running." The certificate of recognition in the quality category was presented for a number of interior trims supplied to the Yaris from Visteon's facilities in Gondecourt and Bellignat, France. Visteon's Cadiz facility employs approximately 480 people and produces components such as electronic engine controls, passive security systems, instrument cluster boards, body electronic modules and remote entry receivers. The Visteon facilities in Gondecourt and Bellignat employ approximately 1,400 people and produce interior products such as instrument panels, door panels and trims.
