Visteon Chief Information Officer Lorie Buckingham Wins 'Top
Michigan Women in Computing' Award VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., Nov.
9 /PRNewswire/ -- Lorie Buckingham, senior vice president and chief
information officer for Visteon Corporation (NYSE:VC), has been
named a winner of the "Top Michigan Women in Computing" award for
2004. The award, given by the Association for Women in Computing -
Ann Arbor Chapter (AWC-AA), recognized Buckingham and nine other
winners as being "the best and brightest among the many outstanding
Michigan women in IT." (Logo:

of the second annual "Top Michigan Women in Computing" award were
selected by the AWC-AA as, "women who hold leadership roles in
Michigan, demonstrate significant accomplishments in their careers
and act as role models for women." Buckingham and the other winners
received their awards at the AWC-AA Gala ceremony at the Fairlane
Club in Dearborn, Mich. on Nov. 6. "Lorie is a tremendous asset to
Visteon and her recognition by the Association for Women in
Computing is well deserved," said Visteon President and Chief
Executive Officer Michael F. Johnston. "Lorie's vision and
commitment to performance have elevated the achievements of
Visteon's IT department, which in turn has positively influenced
our entire company." Buckingham is responsible for all Visteon IT
activities, and has process leadership responsibility. "I am

Buckingham. "In addition to recognizing the tremendous achievements
that women are making in IT, the AWC is also focusing on leadership
in today's business world." Of her leadership role at Visteon,
Buckingham says, "It is my priority to ensure that Visteon's IT

enabling technology will better serve our customers and improve our
internal operations." Buckingham, who is also a corporate officer
of Visteon, joined the company in 2000 and previously was director
of global software solutions. Her extensive knowledge of enterprise
business processes and enabling solutions has been perfected both
with start-up and mature companies. Before joining Visteon,
Buckingham worked at Union Carbide Corporation in Danbury, Conn. as
director of enterprise information technology solutions. Prior to
Union Carbide, Buckingham was chief information officer for
Zonetrader.com, a Chicago-based provider of asset end-of-life-cycle
management services. She rapidly developed sophisticated e-commerce
solutions along with core processing on SAP to meet customer
commitments. Buckingham has a bachelor's degree in mathematics and
chemistry from the State University of New York at Potsdam.
Proceeds from the Gala awards ceremony will benefit the AWC-AA
Scholarship Fund, which supports outstanding women pursuing degrees
