Verigy (NASDAQ: VRGY), a premier semiconductor test company, today announced it ranked among the best rated semiconductor equipment suppliers in China, according to a VLSI Research customer satisfaction survey. In VLSI Research�s annual customer satisfaction survey, customers from China rated 64 equipment suppliers in thirteen criteria. Based on the survey responses gathered during the spring of 2006 from customers in China, Verigy received its highest ratings in the "quality of results" and "product performance" criteria. �We are extremely pleased to receive this recognition from our customers in China,� said Keith Barnes, chief executive officer and president, Verigy. �This ranking is further confirmation that we continue to deliver solutions that exceed our customers' expectations for performance and quality.� Today�s announcement focused only on survey responses from China. In worldwide survey results announced in June 2006, Verigy was also named as a �10 BEST� automated test equipment (ATE) supplier by VLSI Research. About the VLSI Research Customer Satisfaction Survey The VLSI Research annual Customer Satisfaction Survey on Chip Making Equipment provides an opportunity for chip manufacturers worldwide to provide feedback on their suppliers. The results were drawn from a distribution of 44,130 questionnaires sent by mail, email and fax in six languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German, and French. About one in sixteen industry employees received a survey. Virtually every chipmaker was given a chance to respond. Respondents returned surveys rating 4,505 equipment models. The companies that responded to VLSI Research�s customer satisfaction survey represented 95% of worldwide chip production in 2004. When calculating each of the thirteen separate categories previously mentioned, total responses comprised about 56,000 individual ratings across the categories, each on a scale of 1 through 10.
