Y3K and Fox Continue their Planned Expansion of Next-Gen Voice
Network Agreement with Acme Packet Expands the Reach of the Network
on a National Level SEATTLE, WA, Dec. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Y3K Secure Enterprise Software, Inc., (OTC/BB: YTHK), a leading
provider of Secure Communication and Enterprise Software Systems
and Solutions, announced today the signing of an agreement between
its joint operating partner, Fox Communications, and Acme Packet to
deploy Acme Packet's Net-Net(TM) session border controllers in
their SIP-based voice over IP (VoIP) network. As Y3K prepares for
the addition of VoIP to their unified communications package, they
will use the Net-Net products to expand the reach of their network
across the United States, thereby increasing traffic volume and
revenue. "The Acme Packet session border controllers are an
essential element in the development and expansion of our
next-generation voice platform," said Jon Schnelz, Technical
Director of Fox Communications. "We are building upon our strong
reputation for high-quality, innovative products and services at
affordable prices. With Acme Packet's session border controllers in
our network, we continue with our planned growth from a regional to
a national voice provider. Fox is projecting that the expansion of
the next-generation voice network will double our revenue in the
first year, with continued revenue growth over subsequent years."
"This relationship with Acme Packet is an important piece in our
ability to provide innovative and secure unified communication
solutions to a national base of customers," stated King Cole,
President of Y3K. "Due to our Joint Agreement with Fox, Y3K will
receive 50% of the projected revenues from the sales of the
next-generation voice network." Thanks to the multiprotocol support
with interworking functionality in the Acme Packet session border
controllers, Fox will be able to peer with other, previously
incompatible SIP or H.323-based networks to maximize service reach
and extend the addressable market for its services. Through this
contract, Y3K and Fox will be able to offer a combination of voice,
video and multimedia services with total confidence that the
availability, quality and security will rival that of the PSTN
service that its customers currently enjoy. The NAT traversal,
topology hiding, admission control, DoS protection and high
availability features of the Net-Net products are all critical to
creating this confidence. About Acme Packet
