BEAVERTON, Ore., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- WHAT: The
nation's Top 20 Boys' and Top 20 Girls' cross-country teams will
compete for their respective titles as the fastest cross-country
team in the Nation for 2006. Teams are invited based on regional
rankings, which are derived from a combination of competition
performances at USA Track & Field events, affiliate high school
competitions, and other non-sanctioned events. For the first time
this year two high school teams from Kenya have been invited to
participate. For the third straight year, the Nike Team Nationals
event provides a platform for the best team cross-country
competition in the nation. Teams will race along a multiple loop
course built in the center of the Portland Meadows Horse Racetrack,
complete with moguls and other obstacles often experienced in
competition. Friends, family and fans will have a bird's eye view
of the competition from the racetrack grandstands as more than 280
competitors battle for the men's and women's team championship on
