AHL Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited Ordinary Shares

Aspen Insurance Holdings Inc. (AHL) said Wednesday that it hired Timothy Ryan to run a new excess casualty team, which will sell umbrella and excess liability policies in the U.S. surplus lines insurance market.

Ryan was vice president of underwriting and Vmarketing at Carolina Casualty Insurance Company, a division of W.R. Berkley Corp. (WRB) where he worked since 2006. Before that, Ryan worked at General Star Management Company, a division of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRKA, BRKB), from 1994 to 2006.
