It was confirmed on Monday that Rio Tinto is negotiating the purchase of lithium producer Arcadium Lithium, estimated between $4 billion and $6 billion. The acquisition would strengthen Rio’s position as one of the largest lithium producers, essential for electric vehicle batteries. Falling lithium prices made Arcadium an attractive target. Shares fell 0.6% pre-market after closing down 0.2% on Friday

I think presently the stock is not moving up due to :

1- lack of clarification on the 4th Qtr 2023 reporting.
2- lack of info % of current institutional share ownership of the company, Found it difficult to find detailed info on 13D/G filings anywhere as of now.
3- Investors are all waiting to see 1st Qtr 2024 results & also the final Year end report for the merger.
4- Most brokers don't have current Year end data posted for the year end 2023, as a matter of fact, ETRADE has zero financial info posted on the company.

I hope by June we'll have a better picture on the company, currently listed as a Low/Medium risk by Morningstar. We shall see, but the oversupply of lithium as mentioned by others is only temporary as the EV market expands. Not to forget ALTM is very diversified & has products used in several different markets(Polymers, grease, aerospace, pharmaceutical & agrochemical, industrial use).

Could we see the share price going back to the $6.00-$7.00 level soon. IMO
we shall see upon the reporting of the 1st QTR 2024 or perhaps even before
if the market price for Lithium goes back to the $20 level. this should happen when
exisitng inventories of lithium batteries among various companies like Tesla, Ford ,
etc..becomes extinguished.

Thanks, I have filed a complaint with the SEC in regards to Charles Schwab not having my share available to me since it has been almost 5 weeks now since the merger became effective.

Mine were replaced the day after merger. But livent still showed for a week.

Can anyone tell me how long it took to get their new shares after the merger was approved? The reason I ask is because my shares have been lost by my investment company Charles Schwab cannot find them. thank you

I owned Allkem for several months before the merger. Since the merger my investment company, Charles Schwab , can't find my shares. I have over 14000 shares. Could you tell me how long after the merger it took to get y our shares. Thank you.

Well, it looks like mine will be the first post in thread. I hope more people will get interested over time. I owned both Allkem and Livent, so I now own Arcadium after the merger. It is true that it has been painful for lithium lately, but I am in it for the long haul since I see Arcadium as one of the most diversified lithium producers in terms of products an geography, with excellent resources, downstream processing, trading in the NYSE, and much less risk than others. GLTAH!
