beauty business from Avon Products, Inc (NYSE:AVP), announced four
new strategic marketing alliances aimed at increasing the scope of
the business as a multi-faceted, lifestyle brand. Through
innovative partnerships with four companies that represent the
leading areas in telecommunications, theater/entertainment and
broadcast, the business will reach both new and existing mark
Representatives with incentives that resonate with their lifestyle.
New alliances have been formed with: Loews Cineplex Entertainment,
Nextel Communications, New Line Cinema, and MTV. mark was named so
in celebration of young women making their 'mark' in the world
today, and is the makeup you can buy and sell. mark consists of
over 300 diverse, first-to-market and exclusive products including
cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, accessories, jewelry and handbags.
The meet mark magalog is distributed to 7 million young women each
month, making it the largest print vehicle for young women in the
U.S. today. In 2004, mark expects to generate net sales of $35

over 200,000 magalogs in 10 regional cities including New York,
Chicago, Boston and Santa Monica, by placing free-standing
newsstands in theater lobbies in each market. Throughout the end of
2004 over 2,000,000 mark magalogs will be distributed at Loews. On
a national level, mark and Loews will offer several cross-
promotional incentives for mark Representatives as well as
consumers including giveaways of year-long movie passes and

Representatives across the country will receive an exclusive
discount rate plan from Nextel, beginning in the summer of 2004,

exclusive discount purchase price for Nextel phones and
accessories. As part of this exciting telecommunications alliance,
mark will have the ability to offer free Nextel phones with 3
months of gratis service as Representative incentives and consumer
giveaways. New Line Cinema: Starting this summer, mark
Representatives and customers will find added entertainment on
http://www.meetmark.com/ in "The mark," an on-line video theatre.
Visitors to the site will be treated to sneak previews of the
hottest new trailers from New Line Cinema and will have the ability
to sign up to receive invitations to movie screenings and
promotional materials. mark will spread the word on the latest
trailers being featured in "The mark" through certain issues of
their weekly digital newsletter. MTV: As the exclusive retailer of
the MTV Fitness 2-pack DVD, MTV Yoga and MTV Power Yoga, the
product will be featured in the meet mark magalog (Quarter 4, 2004)
and sold solely through a mark representative or at meetmark.com.

featuring the MTV Fitness 2-pack DVD and a call-to-action to
purchase through a local mark representative or on the mark
