NonStop Wireless 802.11n Access Point Delivers Fast, Secure,
Reliable Coverage Anywhere PLEASANTON, Calif., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/
-- Trapeze Networks, a Belden Brand (NYSE:BDC), today introduces
the world's first centrally-managed, enterprise-class outdoor
802.11n access point. The MP-632 is the newest member of Trapeze
Networks' growing family of NonStop Wireless access points and can
be easily configured to create reliable and secure large areas of
high speed client access, bridges spanning many miles, or mesh
networks enveloping the largest sites. And all of these
configurations are easily, centrally managed. As the first
enterprise-class 802.11n access point, it delivers up to ten times
the performance of an 802.11 a/g access point and does so in the
harshest climates or industrial settings. The MP-632 is immediately
available at an MSRP of $3,995.00. Kean University Steps into 21st
Century Wireless Networking "Since our founding in 1955, Kean
University's objective is to provide a world-class education," said
Joe Marinello of Kean University. "Working with our technology
partner, Johnston Communications, Kean University has made a
strategic investment to acquire and deploy a large number of
Trapeze Networks' new outdoor 802.11n access points. We're doing
this to build a 21st century learning environment for our students,
faculty and administration. Learning can, and should, take place
anytime, anywhere, and this implementation wireless networking
moves us closer to achieving our goal." NonStop Wireless Networking
Wherever You Want to Go "Whether it's a lumber mill in Brazil or a
football stadium out in West Texas, a steel mill in China or the
Florida Everglades, the MP-632 can handle the climate and
conditions, said Ahmet Tuncay, chief technology officer at Trapeze
Networks. "The MP-632 has been built on the foundation of Trapeze
Networks' NonStop Wireless Networking technology." "Neither Rain,
Nor Sleet, Nor Gloom of Night. . ." The MP-632 has been built to
NEMA4X standard of the National Electrical Manufacturers
Association. This means that the MP-632 operates in temperatures
ranging from -40F to +131F. Rain, sleet, snow, hail, dust. . . none
of these interrupt service. The MP-632 has an IP67 rating which
means it is totally protected from dust and protected against
immersion in water up to one meter. What's Under the Hood? The
MP-632 is a dual radio, dual band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 3x3 MIMO access
point. It's connected to the network with Gigabit Ethernet. Without
antennas, it is 11.18" x 11.18" x 5.53" and weighs less than ten
pounds. Four different antenna kits support the different
configurations for the MP-632. MP-632 Brings Trapeze Networks
NonStop Wireless Networking to the Great Outdoors The Trapeze
