Barnes & Noble Education, Inc. (NYSE:BNED), a leading
provider of educational products and services solutions for higher
education and K-12, today announced the winners of its LoudCloud
Courseware™ faculty mini-grant program. The 15 mini-grant
recipients were selected based on a number of criteria including
experience, teaching philosophy and approach to incorporating
LoudCloud Courseware into instructional design. Each instructor
will customize and implement affordable, digital courseware in
their classes for the Spring 2019 semester, helping to ensure
students have greater access to the materials they need for
academic success.
The recipients stated a variety of reasons for participating in
the program, including providing cost relief for students,
facilitating mobile access, increasing engagement with course
materials and customizing content to appeal to Generation Z.
“We were thrilled to see the faculty interest in our inaugural
mini-grant program,” said Sean Sullivan, General Manager,
LoudCloud. “Access to high quality, affordable course materials
remains a key barrier to student engagement, and we are pleased to
see so many faculty members eager to break down that barrier by
introducing digital courseware into their classrooms. We look
forward to working with the mini-grant recipients to drive student
engagement and cost savings on campuses nationwide.”
