"Our friends at the Boys and Girls Club are an incredibly important resource for the community, and BP is proud we can assist their operations." John Hamilton, Director of the Middle TN Club said the donation would be used to purchase new technology equipment and supplies. This will include buying new computers and the software to include programs which can be used by all members. Also the funds will be used to further the teen outreach programs. "We are very appreciative of BP for this generous donation," said Hamilton. "Our department operates on limited funds to be able to provide resources to shorten the digital divide which exists between the have and the have not. This donation will go a long ways toward helping us accomplish our mission, 'to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.'" The Boys and Girls Club of Middle TN has been serving the Nashville area since 1904. It has 400 volunteer and full-time employees and provides service to 5,000 children. The Thompson Lane club is one of the most diversified clubs in the United States. There are 19 different languages spoken at the club. The members are from 10 different African countries, as well as Egypt, Israel, Puerto Rico, Haiti, and France.
