Vector Pipeline and Guardian Pipeline Announce New Interconnection
LIVONIA, Mich., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A new interconnect
between Vector Pipeline L.P. and Guardian Pipeline, L.L.C. near
Joliet in Will County, Ill., is now available for service. With a
design capacity of 100 MMcf/d, the Joliet interconnection is
expandable to 400 MMcf/d. "This interconnection offers Vector
shippers and storage providers access to Wisconsin markets via
Guardian," said Craig R. Fishbeck, Vector president. "Additionally,
Vector's shippers will now have access to additional supplies off
other pipelines, such as Midwestern Gas Transmission and Natural
Gas Pipeline of America, by utilizing Guardian's hub services."
"Interconnecting with Vector gives natural gas markets in southern
Wisconsin competitive access to alternative storage providers in
Michigan and Ontario," said Richard Gielecki, Guardian president.
"This interconnect also provides an additional outlet for MGT and
NGPL gas via Guardian's competitive hub services." The 42-inch
Vector Pipeline transports Western Canadian natural gas from the
Chicago market hub in Joliet to the hub at Dawn, Ontario, providing
access to markets and storage in the upper Midwest and eastern
Canada. Vector Pipeline L.P. is a joint venture between
Calgary-based Enbridge Inc. (NYSE/TSE: ENB), with a 60 percent
interest, and Detroit-based DTE Energy Company (NYSE:DTE), with a
