First American Trust Celebrates Grand Opening of Los Angeles-Area Office SANTA ANA, Calif., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- First American Trust(R), a member of The First American Corporation family of companies, today announced the grand opening of its first branch in the Los Angeles area. The office, which is located at 520 North Central Avenue, Suite 715 in Glendale, Calif., will hold its grand opening celebration on Nov. 6, 2003. The office will be headed by R. Daniel Banis, an industry veteran with more than 23 years of experience in the financial services industry. In his role as executive vice president, Banis brings extensive knowledge of the issues specific to high net worth clients, including complex trusts and multigenerational family wealth issues. Prior to joining First American in 2002, he spent six years with Fidelity Investments, where he was national sales manager of the Portfolio Advisory Services Division of the Private Wealth Management Group. Banis' previous experience also includes positions in trust services with two of the nation's largest banks. Joining Banis are Bradford C. Hixson, vice president and wealth management advisor; Robert H. Faust, vice president and relationship manager; Stephen S. Grimm, senior portfolio manager; and Jewellee Dalrymple, client liaison. With more than 12 years of financial services experience, Hixson's background includes complex estate and trust planning, business planning, charitable giving and investment management. Hixson is an Investment Advisor Representative and is licensed with the National Association of Securities Dealers. He is a member of the Planned Giving Roundtable of Southern California, as well as the Glendale and San Gabriel Valley Estate Planning Councils. Faust, a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, comes to First American after five years with Wells Fargo Bank Private Client Services. He specializes in complex estate planning and the administration of complicated and sensitive trusts, both private and charitable. Faust is a graduate of the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, where he earned the American Jurisprudence Award in Trusts. As a practicing attorney, he concentrated on the areas of probate, conservatorship and trust law. Faust is a member of the California, Los Angeles and Pasadena Bar Associations, as well as the Pasadena and Pomona Valley Estate Planning Councils. A veteran in the financial services industry, Grimm is a Certified Financial Planner with 14 years of investment and financial planning experience, including four with First American Capital Management, Inc., another First American subsidiary. As the lead analyst for the automobile, food and beverage, and tobacco sectors, he guides portfolio recommendations in these important economic areas. Prior to joining First American he held senior positions with State Street Bank & Trust Company and a regional investment advisory firm. He also was a partner in a financial consulting firm that specialized in business and financial planning for health care professionals. Dalrymple comes to First American with a broad range of knowledge and experience in trust matters.
