DUBLIN and BOSTON, Feb. 25,
2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Fleetmatics Group PLC (NYSE:
FLTX), a leading global provider of mobile workforce solutions for
service-based businesses of all sizes delivered as
software-as-a-service (SaaS), today announced the Company will be
hosting a free webinar titled, 'Making ELD Compliance Easier with
Mobile Technology' on Wednesday, March
9 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. The
webinar will focus on the ELD mandate and how businesses can
leverage technology to meet compliance standards without new or
additional hardware.
Registration for the webinar is currently open, and anyone
interested in attending can sign up here.
In addition, the Company also announced their commitment to
support the recently announced specifications for the ELD Final
Rule well in advance of the mandated timeframe. The ELD Final Rule,
published by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association, is
designed to improve safety and empower drivers in how they manage
and certify their records of duty status.
The Company introduced the Fleetmatics Logbook application in
2014, to track Hours of Service (HOS) using an installed hardware
solution in combination with a mobile application. Fleetmatics'
Logbook application helps drivers demonstrate they are driving in
compliance with HOS laws and may also help prevent violations
through the use of proactive driver alerts that immediately notify
drivers if they are over hours. The Company's solution is compliant
with current HOS regulations and is designed with the flexibility
to enable Fleetmatics to continue to keep it a compliant solution
for new and existing customers. Simple mobile app updates have kept
the Fleetmatics Logbook application up to date with the most recent
HOS regulatory changes, and future releases will do the same with
respect to the requirements of the ELD Final Rule.
"Attendees can expect to hear a wide range of information
related to the ELD mandate, including how to navigate the
compliance landscape, and how to make transitioning to this
technology stress free," said Jonathan
Durkee, Vice President of Product Management at Fleetmatics.
"Mobile technology, in particular, is transforming the way
service-based businesses approach government mandates, and we look
forward to passing on that knowledge and more during the
webinar."
