Freescale Semiconductor (NYSE:FSL) (NYSE:FSL.B) is ahead of the
curve in helping customers comply with the European Restriction of
Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive set to go into effect 1 July.
The rule sets maximum concentration limits for lead, mercury and

Freescale provides web-based product and material content
declaration data in XML or PDF formats. Customers can easily import

catalog and RoHS-specific part numbering systems that streamline
the creation of RoHS-compliant devices and related declaration
materials. "The breadth and depth of RoHS-specific information that
Freescale provides is unparalleled in the industry," said Vito
Farello of Arrow Electronics. "I use Freescale's online compliance
resources several times each week. They help me save time and
simplify compliance as the 1 July deadline approaches." RoHSwell, a
noted industry resource, further validated Freescale's
customer-focused RoHS compliance programs, ranking the company
