I am much heavier in Amazon than GGP...but use of malls changing...grocery, schools now taking up leases...got to think outside the box...malls will be fine in time.

GGP-increased their dividend and "intends to pay a special dividend of about 25 cents a share".

"General Growth has been selling properties to pay down debt. It targets lowering its debt burden to about $18.5 billion by year's end. Company officials have said they expect to end the year with about $700 million to $800 million in cash and that they intend to set aside about $250 million of that to pay a special dividend of about 25 cents a share."

Stocks go up and down...boldly holding seems to pay off more often than not.

Haven't checked this board in months, yes it is usually a quiet board (Not quite ; ). most i-hubbers generally play low dollar and penny stocks for a flip, so a lot of real stocks don't get much chatter. I've been in GGP for years and i'd say if you grabbed some shares on the 24th or 25th keep a close eye on them. GGP is now at it's resistance so we might break up to 32-33 briefly, but I'm not sure it will hold 30 when it pulls back, or it might just pull back to the mid 28s without an up tick short term. If I were starting a long position, I'd wait at least until after the Ex=div date (7/13) and be a nibbler @ under 28, and a buyer under 27. Who knows, a macro correction might even bring it back down to the mid 20s, but GGP has been cruising fairly well as of late.

Geez it's sure is quite in here.

I suspect that it would be the perfect time to purchase GGP whiles the market feed off uncertainty. What do you guys think?

We have already witnessed a decline in retail spending the past few quarters. The UK vote may usher in additional decline. Hopefully this is a case of passing jitters.

I wonder how the recent UK Vote to leave the EU would affect American retail?

Not fair to get so rich with so little work. GGWPQ now GGP up there near my other big Q wins.

It almost seems unfair to be collecting more in annual dividends now than the shares cost to buy, but they call the shots so how can it possibly be unfair?

When it near 30 cents everyone screaming it go down...funny non one here when we break $30.

This is one of the little glitches in my antique pre Y-2000 crystal ball, and tends to happen because I have to keep resetting the time & date every time I fire it up! LOL

With a good holiday season, I'm smelling GGP returning to a nice EOY "special divi" declaration for January possibly coming.

Bill got more than the three buck fair value and sold low 20's...HHC still doing fine...I see GGP moving into 30's by end of year.

I know ackman has big bets now elsewhere, e.g., FnF, and I know he will win bigger there, much more upside, but I do keep my long core holdings from under a buck, why? I just am a believer in the brick and mortar never going away and the value of real estate rising...that simple? yep.

True, and the third raise per qtr in a row too (+ 25% YOY). From the Ackman buy back alone, GGP received an inherent windfall of .0039 cents per remaining outstanding share, just on the dividends now no longer being paid on those cancelled shares. If management's forecasted guidance hold true, my guess is we will see at least a one more cent raise by the EOY.
