HPE and HPQ are separate companies, I don't see why a Xerox buy of HPQ would affect HPE.

Our shares of both HPE and AMD appear to be favorable investments in light of AMD collaborating with CRAY.

Major Swing Trade Buy Target On Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co $HPE

Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (HPE) are falling sharply after reporting earnings. The stock is down over 10%, trading near $15.50. As it declines, some investors who were long are selling with panic, other investors are buying thinking it's a great discount. However, the smart big boys and girls are waiting patiently for Hewlett Packard Enterprise to tag the $15.00 level, a key pivot on the stock chart and a major buy level. Once hit, Hewlett Packard Enterprise will see a solid bounce for a swing trade long.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co $HPE Slammed After Earnings, Here's The Trade

Earlier today, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (NYSE:HPE) reported earnings. The stock is declining lower by $1.76 to $15.63 a share. At this time, HPE stock is holding above its 200-day moving average. A daily chart close below this key moving average would signal another move down in the stock. The next key support level for HPE stock will be around the $14.40 area. This level is where the stock broke out in late November 2017. Often, prior breakout levels will serve as major support when initially retested. I will be looking to play HPE on the long side around this major level.

From Bloomberg:

"KKR & Co., Apollo Global Management LLC and Carlyle Group LP are โ€œsniffing aroundโ€ the company, The Information reported, citing an unnamed person who has had talks with representatives of the private equity firms. A Hewlett Packard Enterprise spokeswoman declined to comment.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise gained 7.7 percent to $21.88 at 1:37 p.m. in New York, the biggest intraday jump since May 25. The company gained 34 percent this year through Thursdayโ€™s close.
Chief Executive Officer Meg Whitman has been pushing the company to reduce its size and become more flexible as it navigates the changing demands of corporate customers for its computer storage and networking business since November when it split from sister company HP Inc. In May, the company said it would spin off and merge its business-services division with Computer Sciences Corp. in a deal valued at $8.5 billion for its shareholders."

"The HPE Airline Service Oriented Architecture Platform."

Although HPE's website clearly references this "Platform" as a prime contributor to its offering of varied services to several vertically-structured industries, the LINK to that particular reference is STILL not populated with airline-specific information and content.

WHY?

IMHO: a "deal" to ACQUIRE a company that could provide such an array of services to airlines has not YET been consummated.

Take a look for yourself: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/business-solutions/solution.html?compURI=1091475#.Vz55siHzaiB

I've personally contacted HPE with queries as to why the LINK provides little, if any, airline-specific information ... and its representatives have indicated that they would get back to me.

Stay tuned!

Someone asked: 'So what does HPE actually KNOW about commercial airlines?

Probably nothing.

So how on earth does HPE 'cure' that informational 'GAP', eh?

IT ACQUIRES A COMPANY THAT DOES!

So stay tuned ... snd keep those 'Olvatine Decoder Rings' ACTIVATED!
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0
FORTY-8 FORTY-8 9 years ago
We're discussing the HPE "platforms" that are "integrated" with each other into an "airline infrastructure".

That, and the "HPE Airline Service Oriented Architecture Platorm" that " ... address airlinesโ€™ need for cost reduction, business scale, and agility by providing a modern application development platform optimized for airlines".

Have a look ... and join the discussion!

IMHO: HEWLETT PACKARD ENTERPRISES IS "NEXT GREAT INVESTING OPPORTUNITY IN TECHNOLOGY".
