IFTE ("the Company")

Following the announcement on 3 September 2003 that Kidde Holdings Limited had
declared its offer for the entire issued share capital of the Company to be
wholly unconditional, the Company announces the following changes to the Board
on 4 September, 2003.

James Drummond, Johnathan Ford, Doug Vaday and David Johnston (on behalf of
Kidde plc) have each been appointed a director of the Company.

David Williams, Reginald Key, Steve Hough and Vivien Gaymer have each resigned
as directors of the Company.

Further information on the appointees in terms of Schedule 2 paragraph (f) of
the AIM Rules will follow in due course.
