Pacific Comox Resources Ltd
- ASSAYS REPORTED FOR INITIAL 30 OF 97 RC HOLES COMPLETED ON THE MABEL
PROPERTY HAVE EXPANDED THE AREAS OF NEAR SURFACE GOLD/SILVER
MINERALIZATION

- 14 HOLES IN THE GATE ZONE RETURNED AN AVERAGE OF 1.28 G/T GOLD AND
69.8 G/T SILVER OVER AN AVERAGE INTERVAL OF 4.1 METERS ENCOMPASSING AN
AREA APPROXIMATELY 600M BY 300M

- 1.08 % COPPER OVER 23 METERS WAS RETURNED IN HOLE RC-62 IN THIS
INITIAL DRILLING CAMPAIGN ON THE MICHO ZONE WHICH IS THE MOST
NORTHERLY AREA DRILLED TO-DATE. THIS STRONG RESULT MAY INDICATE A
PROXIMAL COPPER PORPHYRY SYSTEM

TORONTO, March 18 /CNW/ - Pacific Comox Resources Ltd.
(TSX Venture : PCM) is pleased to report it has received the assays for the
first 30 holes of the 97 hole, 1,955 meter(m), reverse circulation (RC)
drilling program on its Mabel property in northern Sonora, Mexico. Drilling on
the Mabel property started on February 6 and was completed on March 10. The
drill program tested several quartz vein outcrops in areas which have
encouraging drilling and surface sampling results from previous work. Results
from the 17 holes drilled in the Gate Zone, 9 holes in the Micho Zone and 5
holes in the 1910 Zone are summarized in the following table.
In the Gate Zone, 14 holes over an average interval of 4.1 meters
returned an average of 1.28 grams/tonne (g/t) gold and 69.8 g/t silver. In 8
of the 14 holes, the mineralized interval started 2m or less from surface. The
17 holes drilled in the Gate Zone encompass an area approximately 600 meters
north-south and 300 meters east-west. The Gate Zone is considered to have
potential to be increased in all directions and at depth.
Visual copper oxide mineralization within an altered granodiorite
porphyry was noted in the Micho Zone, which is located approximately 600m
north of the Gate Zone and is the most northerly area drilled to-date on the
Mabel property. Drill hole RC-62 targeted this mineralization and returned
1.08% copper over 23m from 6m to 29m in the hole. The first 6m in hole RC-62
returned 1.48g/t gold and 50.8g/t silver. Hole RC-66 about 25m south of RC-62
returned 15m of 0.34% copper commencing at one meter below the surface. This
"copper zone" appears to be open in all directions. The copper mineralization
is mainly malachite, azurite and tenorite. Further work is required in this
area to assess the potential of this new zone. The results received are
considered very encouraging and may be indicative of a proximal copper
porphyry system.
In addition to hole RC-62 in the Micho Zone, five other holes were
completed which indicate a substantial gold/silver potential in addition to
copper as the average gold grade was 0.73g/t, and the silver grade was 20.6g/t
over an average mineralized interval of 4.3m.
The 6 holes in the 1910 Zone which is located about 260m west of the
south end of the Gate Zone gave an average grade 0.53g/t gold, and 15.1g/t
silver over an average interval of 3.2m. This zone is considered to have
expansion potential in all directions, particularly to the south towards the
Ridge Zone.
Further results from the drilling program will be released as they become
available.
More information about Pacific Comox's properties, the current
exploration program, the table summarizing the current results and maps
showing the location of the holes drilled are available on the Pacific Comox
web site located at www.pacificcomox.com.
The current program was carried out under the direction of Mr. James
Janzen, Mr. Cesar Lemas and Mr. Roger Scammell Chairman of Pacific Comox, a
qualified person under National Instrument 43-101 and the QP for the project.
All analysis was done by Actlabs of Tucson, Arizona. All gold and silver
values were determined by fire assay.

Pacific Comox receives Famosa assay results

2004-01-20 10:47 ET - News Release

Mr. Donald Empey reports

PACIFIC COMOX RESOURCES LTD. - ADDITIONAL ENCOURAGING ASSAY RESULTS RECEIVED FOR THE FAMOSA SILVER PROPERTY, THE AVERAGE OF SIX SURFACE SAMPLES IS: SILVER 28 OZ/TON, GOLD 1.4 G/T (0.04 OZ/TON), COPPER 1.3%, LEAD 5.9 %, ZINC 4.6%

Pacific Comox Resources has received the copper, lead and zinc assay results from four surface samples on its 100-per-cent-owned Famosa property, which is located approximately 60 kilometres south of Caborca, northern Sonora, Mexico. The gold and silver assays for these four samples and two others were previously reported in Stockwatch on Nov. 13, 2003.

The six grab samples were taken from a rectangular grid about 20 metres by 30 metres in dimension from a depth of approximately one metre. The assay results for the samples taken are reported in the table below. The assays averaged 28 ounces per ton silver, 1.4 grams per tonne (g/t) (0.04 ounce per ton) gold, 1.3 per cent copper, 5.9 per cent lead and 4.6 per cent zinc.

The mineralization represented by these six samples appears to be associated with a fold nose and a crosscutting fault which may form a chimney about 30 metres in diameter. The identified mineralization (argentiferous galena, stibnite and green chlorargyrite) is typical of a carbonate-replacement-type deposit.

Several old workings occur in the area of the Famosa property, including the Union mine located about 1.5 kilometres to the Northeast, which was operated by Penoles in the 1960s. At the Union mine, about 700,000 to one million tons were extracted from a 400-metre-deep replacement pipe in limestone with grades in the order of 10 g/t gold to 20 g/t gold, 300 g/t silver to 800 g/t silver, 7 per cent lead, 1 per cent zinc and 2 per cent antimony.

Pacific Comox is encouraged by the results of the sampling program and believes that the property has excellent potential to host a significant carbonate-replacement-type deposit.

Results from an additional seven samples taken in the same general area of the known mineralization are still pending.

A 500-metre reverse-circulation drilling program on the Famosa property to test the lateral and depth extent of the mineralization identified to date is scheduled to begin before the end of January, 2004. Pacific Comox is also currently completing additional surface mapping and sampling on the property.

The sample preparation and assaying for the Famosa grab samples was completed by Actlabs of Tucson, Ariz. The samples were taken under the direction of James Janzen and Cesar Lemas.

In addition to continuing work on the Famosa property, Pacific Comox is planning to drill about 100 short (20-metre) holes on its Mabel property. This program will commence once the drilling is concluded on the Famosa property. The purpose of this drilling program is to followup on the encouraging results of the reverse-circulation drilling program reported in October, 2003.

Assay results from the drilling programs will be reported when available.

More information about the exploration properties and past results are available on the Pacific Comox Web site at www.pacificcomox.com.

They've found a silver chimney

PACIFIC COMOX RESOURCES LTD. - ADDITIONAL ENCOURAGING SILVER/GOLD ASSAY RESULTS RECEIVED FOR THE FAMOSA PROPERTY IN SONORA MEXICO

Pacific Comox Resources has received new assay results from its wholly owned 191-hectare Famosa property located approximately 60 kilometres to the south of Caborca, Sonora, Mexico.

Four new grab samples taken on a rectangular grid approximately 20 metres by 30 metres and from a depth of about one metre are reported in the table below. The assays for two previously reported grab samples are also included. The six samples indicate a mineralized zone averaging 1.4 grams per tonne gold and 957 g/t silver as well as lead and zinc. The base metal assays for the four new samples are pending.

The mineralization represented by these six samples appears to be associated with a fold nose and a cross-cutting fault which may form a chimney about 30 metres in diameter. The identified mineralization (argentiferous galena, stibnite and green chlorargyrite) is typical of a CRD (carbonate-replacement-type deposit).

Pacific Comox is planning additional surface mapping, sampling and a reverse circulation drilling program on the Famosa property to test the identified mineralized zone at depth.

Several old workings occur in the area of the Famosa property including the Union mine located about 1.5 kilometres to the northeast which was operated by Penoles in the 1960s. At the Union mine, about 0.7 to one million tons were extracted from a 400-metre-deep replacement pipe in limestone with grades in the order of 10 to 20 g/t gold, 300 to 800 g/t silver, 7 per cent lead, 1 per cent zinc, and 2 per cent antimony.

In addition to the proposed exploration on the Famosa concession, Pacific Comox is planning a mapping and close-spaced drilling program on the Mabel property, subject to the completion of financing. The sample preparation and fire assays for the Famosa samples were completed by Actlabs, Inc. of Tucson, Ariz. The samples were taken under the direction of James Janzen and Cesar Lemas.

How can I get excited when there are some 50 million shares out and not one of them mine? Pun intended.

Stock has moved up into anticipation of results and slightly wilted. Someone has sold out half on the double, judging by volume in and out.. not much buying into anticipation..

My read is medium cool results.

Could be wrong.

I would wait. Spec here if iffy.
