KANSAS CITY, Mo., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Piper Jaffray & Co. announces that Dustin Avey has joined the firm as vice president in investment banking for Public Finance Services. Avey will service public finance issuers in the Midwest working out of the firm's Kansas City office. He also previously worked as an analyst at Strong Capital Management. Avey received his bachelor's degree in finance from Iowa State University.
