Piper Jaffray Increases Fixed Income Presence in Cleveland CLEVELAND, April 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Piper Jaffray & Co. is pleased to announce the addition of four new fixed income sales professionals to its Cleveland office. John Plagens and Bill Plagens joined the firm in municipal institutional sales, Amanda Paoletto joins as a middle market sales representative and Teresa Yancey joins as a public sector sales representative. The new sales group is located in the firm's new Cleveland office in the BP Tower, at 200 Public Square, Suite 3260. John and Bill Plagens join the firm as managing directors in municipal institutional sales both from McDonald Investments, a KeyCorp Company, where they spent the past eight years. Prior to working at McDonald, John Plagens spent 12 years working at Kemper Securities. He has a political science degree from The Ohio State University and a law degree from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Bill Plagens brings over 16 years of sales experience and prior to working at McDonald, was in sales at Key Capital Markets. He has a communications degree from The Ohio State University. Paoletto joined the firm as an assistant vice president after spending the past year working in commercial banking at US Bank. Prior to that, she worked for Morgan Stanley in Chicago in trading and at DLJ as a cash management account manager. Paoletto has a bachelor's degree in management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., and a master's of business administration degree from DePaul University in Chicago. Yancey joined the firm as a vice president from Productive Portfolios, Inc., in Rocky River, Ohio, after spending the past couple of years as a portfolio manager. Prior to that, she spent 10 years in institutional sales at Huntington Capital Corp., in Columbus, Ohio. Yancey has a bachelor's degree in business administration from The Ohio State University and a law degree from Capital University Law School in Columbus. The Cleveland office opened in June 2002, as a strategic expansion of the Piper Jaffray fixed income sales operation.
