Directory Features New Brand, Features and Children's Artwork

1.82 million copies of the new 2006 AT&T Yellow Pages (formerly

Yellow Pages directory reflects SBC's recent name change. R.H.
Donnelley spokesperson Jennifer Sherron said it is one of the first
RHD directories to carry the AT&T Yellow Pages brand. "The
transition from SBC Yellow Pages to AT&T Yellow Pages has been
a smooth process," Sherron said. "We're excited about the change
because we believe customers and residents already identify
positively with the AT&T brand." Family of Products Since
Reuben H. Donnelley published the first classified directory in
Chicago 120 years ago, his company still continues to provide
Chicago residents with products to help them find the information
they need whenever, wherever and however they want. Accompanying
the delivery of the new directory will be the Chicago Plus AT&T
Yellow Pages, a portable mini- directory convenient to keep in the
car, home office or briefcase. Residents can also search for
businesses online at http://www.chicagolandyp.com/ . Community
Involvement "Our directories are a part of the community," Sherron
said. "With the launch of the new Chicago directory, we're also
launching a children's art program called Creative Kids." Creative
Kids is a drawing program for children 12 and under that fosters
creativity and highlights selected artwork in the Yellow Pages. To
participate, area residents visit http://www.rhdforteachers.com/ to
download the necessary materials. Using the official forms,
children create artwork focusing on their favorite subject at
school. Three randomly selected artists will be featured on the
first page of the Yellow Pages section in the 2007 Chicago AT&T
Yellow Pages. Additional artwork will be published throughout the
Yellow Pages as space permits. Entries for the Chicago Creative
Kids program will be accepted through Oct. 4. "Creative Kids
encourages appreciation of learning through a fun, educational
activity," Sherron said. "Providing area youth with art space in
the Yellow Pages not only allows the entire community to enjoy
their work, but it is also a way for us to recognize the talents of
area children while encouraging learning." Directory Features In
addition to the new name, the directory offers other new features.
A welcome letter from Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley greets readers
and is followed by a new 184-page front-of-book section that
contains a wealth of information about things to do and see in
Chicago. In addition to a calendar of events and Chicago street
maps, it contains a complete Navy Pier Guide, shopping and mall
guides, dining and entertainment guide, city and suburban zip
codes, CTA & Metra maps, airport maps and museum information.
This year the directory cover features a photo highlighting the
return of one of Chicago's favorite events, the Tall Ships(R)
festival. The event, which will be held August 3 - 9, 2006, is a
