Shaw Awarded Two Mission Support Services Contracts for U.S. Army Sites in Alaska

The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE: SGR) today announced its
Environmental & Infrastructure Group has been re-awarded two
contracts for facility maintenance and mission support services
through 2014 at U.S. Army sites in Alaska. The first contract
encompasses Fort Wainwright and associated training ranges, and the
second contract outlines services at Fort Richardson and the Seward
Military Resort. The combined contracts� value�of $158 million�will
be included in the company's second quarter fiscal year 2009
backlog of unfilled orders.
Awarded through the U.S. Army Expeditionary Contracting Command
Element in the Pacific region, Shaw�s contracts are comprised of
various tasks, including complete maintenance of buildings,
structures, grounds and roads; utility, fire
protection/suppression, refrigeration, heating and air conditioning
systems; dining equipment; and vehicles and heavy machinery. The
contracts also include support of special events and training
ranges, pest control services and snow removal operations.
