The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE: SGR) today announced it has received the Duke Energy Contractor Safety Award, which recognizes Duke Energy contractors with outstanding safety records. Shaw was selected as the top performer in the national-level, large-firm category.

As a recipient of the award, Shaw had to meet strict annual criteria, including no lost workdays, an OSHA case rate of 2.0 or less, no spills at a reportable level, no regulatory citations and positive marks for proactively addressing health and safety-related issues.
