Shaw Awarded Department of Defense Energy Support Contracts

The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE: SGR) today announced its
Environmental & Infrastructure Group has been awarded multiple
contracts by the Department of Defense�s Defense Energy Support
Center (DESC) for the support, procurement and management of
petroleum resources used by the U.S. military. The value of Shaw�s
contracts, which was included in the company's third quarter fiscal
year 2009 backlog of unfilled orders, was not disclosed.
Shaw�s scope of work under the eight five-year contracts
includes comprehensive environmental assessment, remediation and
emergency response support services throughout the northeastern and
southeastern U.S. These services will enhance management of
military base infrastructure and fuels procurement, distribution
and logistics at Defense Fuel Support Points in Charleston, S.C.;
Fort Hood, Texas; Tampa, Fla.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Hunter Army
Airfield in Savannah, Ga.; Verona, N.Y.; Melville, R.I.; and the
Fuels Installation Service Center in Norfolk, Va.
